Lauren Morgan, Chief Operational Officer/ Co-Founder

Lauren W. Morgan is the co-founder of Visions of Hope. Ever since her teenage years, she had a passion for working with kids. Even in high school she assisted two day cares and a first grade classroom while receiving her 90 hour child care certification. She even strongly considered opening her own child care service. After graduating high school, Lauren enrolled in a program to become a medical assistant while working two jobs. At the end of the program, her home caught fire and disrupted her life. During that time she decided to go in a slightly different direction.

At 19, Lauren enrolled into a billing/coding program, where she found out she was with child .This motivated her to become more focused. Within a year and half, she interned in a pediatric office, completed the program, became employed at the top lab testing facility, married and moved into her first place with her husband. Although stable for six years with the same company, she was unsatisfied and ready for a career change. Going on countless interviews for her current position, but accepting none, she realized that she didn’t know what job to look for next.

Lauren then decided she needed to go back to her original passion, which was the youth! This time she decided to make more of an impact. Lauren and her cousin (Shantia Torrence) had a conversation and collectively decided on mentoring young girls. Falling back into her passion,  she  plans on attending school in the fall to obtain a bachelor’s degree in human services.
