

Shantia Torrence, Chief Executive Officer/ Founder
Child advocate and mentor, Shantia Torrence, has had the vision to help young girls since 2009. After years of contemplating on starting an organization she founded Visions of Hope, Inc. It is her mission to empower young girls to do what they love and live their dreams. Shantia has spent more than 5 years mentoring the youth and is a leading power guide in the field of youth development and life enrichment. An active member in her community, through her sorority Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and the National Council of Negro Women, Inc., she has a passion for the youth and female-specific enrichment programs. It is through her experience throughout her matriculation in college in which she acquired the passion to inspire excellence, healthy behaviors, self-empowerment, and personal growth in the lives of young girls.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Shantia graduated from Morgan State University with a degree in Business Administration. She is now seeking her Master’s degree in Human Services minoring in Family Studies & Interventions. She uses her education background to instill effective business, communication and human service skills via Visions of Hope.
She continues to live with purpose and accomplish greatness. It is her mission to support other organizations in which she can collaborate with those who have the same passion as she does; to uplift, empower and support the youth, specifically young girls.
